This Week’s Prayer
Father, thank You for placing me in the body of Christ. Thank You that by Your grace, I have been included in the eternally important work of rescuing people from darkness and maturing people to the image of your Son. Jesus, thank You for being the head of the church and giving me direction and gifts to strengthen your church. Holy Spirit, work through me in every moment of every day. Remind me of my position in the church and give me boldness to proclaim the good news of Jesus’ death burial and resurrection.
This Week’s Verse
Romans 12:4–8 (ESV)
For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
