Volunteer Opportunities at FBC
If
you feel inadequate to serve in any of these areas but are
interested in trying, we would like to help you in anyway we can
with training and support! We want to help you find and function in
a way that uses your special gifts and excites your heart!
Communion:
We need four ladies who would be willing to fill
the communion cups and set out the bread three or four times a
year. You can do this
the Saturday before communion. Contact the Office (358-3724)
if you would like to help with this ministry.
Nursery
Leader: Some of the helpers for this Ministry
are in place. (We are short a few people right now with many
of our moms off for maternity leave.) This person needs to
recruit new helpers, generate the nursery schedule and give it to
the office for mailing, maintain snack inventory, keep laundry
washed, maintain cleanliness of the nursery and various other
miscellaneous tasks. Please
talk with Misty Langer if you have questions.
Nursery Workers: Due
to many of our moms being off for maternity leave, we need a few
more workers. If you
can help every now and then on a Sunday, please call Misty Langer.
Funeral Dinners: Margie Langston would like two or three ladies
that she can train for the funeral dinner ministry.
If you have the gift of
hospitality and cooking, and would be interested in helping Margie
on an ‘as needed” schedule, please call Margie.
Jr.
Church Adult Helpers: ***There is an immediate need for the months of January and February for 1st
service Jr. Church.
Miss Sheila will be out of town on a mission trip.
Please call Sheila. . Also,
due to our growing numbers in Jr. Church, we are in need of an
adult helper during 2nd service with Miss Lori. If you would be
willing to help from time to time, please call Lori Andrews.
All-Church Dinners: Someone to coordinate people to help with All
Church meals such as: Christmas
Brunch, Easter Brunch, Thanksgiving
Dessert, Lake Day, Natural Bridge Day, Welcome New Visitors
Luncheon, etc. The
leader of this group does not necessarily need to be in the
kitchen, just call people who have the gift of hospitality and
help coordinate details for the event.

Children’s Sunday School
Teachers: (Subs): Sunday
School -
2 years old to 5th
Grade - We still need Substitute Teachers.
All curriculum is established and the students are ready to learn. Please
talk with Theresa Eathorne if you have any questions or
stop by a Sunday School Class and observe.
History Book: We
need someone who likes to scrapbook and who is interested in the
activities of FBC. Duties:
Cut out news articles and pictures from newspapers, take pictures
at events, or get pictures from events and
keep a running account of life at FBC in the History Book.

to see History Books from the past.
