Absentee voting starting Friday at 11 am and during 1st
and 2nd services and a short business meeting
immediately following the 2nd service.
A. Elders recommend the calling of the Foxes. The elders
discussed ways to affirm Daryl
Dryden in his present and future ministry.

change Ex-officio to “non voting participant”

include Robert’s rules of Order as a basis for church meetings
so things are done in order.

Elders' Report August 8
We enjoyed a significant amount of time with verses about
faith and prayer time
Search Committee update.
They had one of the persons they were planning to interview
back out but will have the other individual interview during
August.
Time was spent with the Outdoors Ministries and Ron Hayes
in future direction and plans.
We discussed the spiritual priorities we are thinking and
praying about for 2012.
The future facility was discussed.
We are suggesting the Buildings and Grounds Committee be in
charge of putting some details together.
We spent time talking about a target number to shoot for
with the size of the building.
Family care issues were discussed and prayed for as well as
taking specific steps to help individuals and families.
Elders' Report July 14
Great time of Bible study and prayer
Worked with feedback with future facility needs
Discussed how to strengthen the evangelism and
worship committees with Glenn’s ministry
Gave update
from the Search Committee for the Youth Pastor position.
They are having two individuals who they are interviewing
in August in person in Douglas.
We begin working on budget for 2012.

* Time of Prayer and searching the scripture together
* Meet with MOPS leaders to encourage and
communicate with them.
* Had a time of interaction with the Buildings and
Grounds Committee to
discuss the present and future needs of facility.
* Discussion of new elders.
* Talked about our role with encouraging people in
our church to be involved in politics.
* We will assist in getting and Evangelism and
Worship team formalized and functioning.
* Had an update on the progress of the search committee.
They are working with interviews and gathering information.
* We discussed the Outdoors Ministry of the church and want
to increase communication with them.
* We addressed several family care issues to be a part of
in the church and community.
* Had a good discussion about how to affirm our
missionaries and we were
challenged to evaluate how to do it now on Sunday mornings.
Jeff
Krohn will speak in our morning service on the last Sunday
in July.
* We will offer to be a part of the city prayer
ministry by taking a certain area and arranging a time to pray for
that area as a church.
* Pastor Steve gave a pastors report with questions.
* Ended the evening with prayer.

Elders' Meeting September 9, 2010
* Had a good time of prayer and talked about
improving marriages as leaders.
* Planning a party to say thank you to the Search Team Members and
Welcome to Pastor Glenn and Mindy
*The current Search Team Committee will disperse and anyone can
re-apply for the next Search Committee for the Youth Pastor
* Pastor Glenn's first day is tentatively scheduled for September
29
* Structure Committee will put the DRAFT of the Constitution
on-line soon
* Elders worked on the philosophy of Youth Ministry. Will
share this at the Youth Vision and Planning Meeting on 9/12
* Worked on the Budget
* Helped with four different family care issues
* Accepted resignation from Kathy Johnson as the Decorating
Chairperson. We will work with Women's ministry leaders on new
ideas.
