What a
great privilege it is to be a pastor with this church
family in Douglas, Wyoming! I am married to
my sweetheart, Carol, for 30 years and we are
blessed with 5 children. My
hobbies are bow hunting and landscaping.
My life mission as a pastor is to make
God and the Bible relevant. My
life verse is Matthew 6:33 “But seek first
his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things
will be given to you as well.” |

I love serving the body of Christ through
the local church which I have been blessed in doing for
the past 19 years. I have a passion to create new and
effective ways to bring the gospel alive to those who are
lost. Sensing God’s obvious call to Douglas, we moved
here in September 2010. My wife, Mindy and I were married
in 2002 and we have been blessed with three boys that keep
our lives full and very busy. Growing up in Minnesota I am
a die-hard Viking and Twins fan and enjoy time on the
racquetball court, golf course, or playing baseball with
my boys. The first verse underlined in my Bible given to
me by my Dad has been my life verse – Romans 1:16 “For
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the
power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes…”

It is such a blessing to be here
at First Baptist in Douglas! My wife, Kim, and I met at a
Bible camp in Michigan when we were kids, and she has been
stuck with me ever since. We love to go to concerts and
watch sports together. It is our philosophy that youth are
not the future of the church; they are an integral part of
the church today. What an exciting thing to see God
working in the hearts and lives of young people all around
us. My favorite verse comes from 2 Chronicles 16:9, “For the eyes of the Lord
run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself
strong on behalf of those whose heart is
loyal to Him…”
